More About Me
Known as "Pan Plac Zabaw" (Mr. Playground - in Polish). CPSI certificed. Member of the National Program for Playground Safety - National Advisory Board. Winner of the John Preson Safe Playground Award. Trained by the National Center for Boundless Playgrounds. Have facilitated the building of many playground projects. Now working to take this experience and training to the world to enhance the lives of orphans living in eastern Europe. Member of the No Child Left Inside Coalition. UPDATE: April 30, 2007. My wife and I went to Poland to visit the two children we are adopting from the "Dom Dziecka" (children's home) where Phase 1 of our playground project was built. We are planning a Phase 2 build trip in August, 2007. Also, we hope to have the kids home this summer (see photo). UPDATE: August 17, 2007. Our adoption is complete and our two kiddos are home with us now in the USA. Phase 2 of the project has been delayed until spring of 2008. We are now involved with a neighborhood / school playground renovation project using the KaBOOM model in the city of Poznan.' UPDATE: January 10, 2008. Phase 2 of the project is now set for June of 2008. We are also doing a "community build" in the City of Poznan' at a school that is the center of a section of "block housing." Our core group of volunteers is now looking for future "Playground & Relationship" building opportunites in Russia and Nepal. UPDATE: July 21, 2008. Both the Phase 2 Orphanage site and King David School playgrounds were build using the KaBOOM Community Build Model (Road Map) as a guide. It was great success. So much so, we have launched a new organization called "Playgrounds of Peace." It looks we will be going to Nepal next year. By the way our two adopted children from Poland are doing just fine. We just celebrated our 1st year anniversary as a family this month.
