As a community that is well organized already, and a city government that is grant and foundation savvy, what is the benefit of applying for Playful City USA?
Our town of 2,200 is not able to direct any city dollars to playspace funding. It is instead handled by our youth center and community donors. Will this be a problem? The parks commission which is not part of the city budget provides manpower and maintenance.
I would like information on Playful City USA deadlines and the cost involved.
Our hesitation is registering our Play Committee as "kaboom playmakers"-- we have pretty strict policies about giving out email addresses of our members who give so much time and energy to our community already--how often do you anticipate to contact them and what will the nature of that contact be?
