Play is a crucial factor in the overall well-being of children. But play in many communities, schools, and families has been pushed to the back burner. Fewer kids spend time every day at a park or playground, recess is disappearing from curriculums, and playgrounds are missing from community and neighborhood development plans. Through the Playmaker Network and the Playful City USA Campaign, the KaBOOM! National Campaign for Play seeks to make play a priority in communities across the nation.

Help with Committee
Posted: 06 May 08 9:01 AM
I have created a new spread sheet to enter my Committee Members since I couldn't fit everything on the one in the paplication. My question is do I leave the titles that are already in the "TITLE" column (Business Representative Row, etc.) or put somethign else in there, and if it is something else, what do I put? Same question about the organization row. Do I need to enter their personal businesses even if that does not relate to our committee? Thank you for your assistance.

Great questions!
The title row is to identify your business, community, and government representative (as required and spelled out in the application).
The organization row is to illustrate that your play committee / task force is a diverse group that encompasses folks from all three sectors (public, private, and nonprofit), not just employees within a Parks Dept.
Good luck in the final weeks and thanks for your posting!
