I thought this was neat. A quick Google search found there are several musical playgrounds in the country. Has anyone here experienced one? What are they like?

ROMEOVILLE -- Remembering when actor Tom Hanks stepped on a giant keyboard at FAO Schwarz and hopped around to play a song in the movie "Big," park planners thought, "Why not?" And thus was born the concept for Deer Crossing Park's musical playground and amphitheater in Romeoville. With a $400,000 grant and matching village funds, the park will be nestled in a natural wooded section of Romeoville known as O'Hara Woods on the north side of 135th Street between Weber Road and Illinois 53. The grant is part of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Open Space and Land Acquisition and Development Grant Program. Residents will have amenities such as an amphitheater, picnic shelter, playground, trails and prairie plantings, according to village officials. The playground will be a music-themed environment kids can enjoy. "The playground will have chimes and drums and color-cushioned places for kids to run and play," said Kelly Rajzer, director of parks and recreation. There are plans for a large amphitheater with stage and bench seating to accommodate 500, and lawn seating for 1,000.

Cool! There are musical play items that I have purchased before like large xylophones and stand up drums, but has anyone ever tried building any musical items from scratch?
