Has anyone heard of Planet Safety
Posted: 06 May 08 6:15 PM

I got this email and I was wondering if anyone had heard of this company before.  They came in $10K less in a surfacing quote, but I want to make sure they are a good company.

Thanks  Mara

Hello,

I want to thank you for taking the time to hear about Planet Safety.  We are contacting local independent school's trying to uncover if there will be any need for playground renovations or new installations for the 08 season. Planet Safety is starting 2008 with some great discounts and incentives. We supply and install a wide range of playground equipment from manufacturers like gametime, miracle, little tikes, and burke products.  We also supply and install poured-in-place safety surfacing (safe-landing) or synthetic turf.  All of our products come with a 20 year warranty, no maintenace = savings. You can visit our website at www.safe-landing.com for information about our products and service. If you have any questions pertaining to current or future projects please contact me ASAP.

Finally,  Planet Safety is donating funds and beating competitor prices in the effort to help support the nationwide awareness of safety.

Hi Mara,

I did a quick search and couldn't find them in our Vendor Directory. Perhaps other folks in the Forums have worked with them and could respond, but in the meantime, encourage your contact at Planet Safety to add their company to the Vendor Directory and ask previous clients to post comments on their experience there.

I have continued to do some research.  I do not think they are reputable.  They told me they could get me LSI equipment cheaper than my LSI rep.  No one at LSI has ever heard of them.  Be very careful of using them!

Hello,

The reason why most people have not heard of Planet Safety is because it is a new company that has been formed.  We do offer better pricing than alot of different manufacturer reps because of discounts associated with the manufacturers not the individual reps of the products.  Planet Safety is on a campaign to promote safety and is offering discounts that are to the benefit of the end user, necessarily not company profits.  Most of our customers in the past have been government related.  We have testimonials and recommendation on our website along with any other information pertinent to making customers feel comfortable in who we are and the superior installation we provide.

Thank you,

Planet Safety
