Hurricane IKE & Play update- Oct 4, 2008
Posted: 04 Oct 08 6:25 AM

Galveston Island and Kemah, Texas are on the rode to recovery with only 1% of habitable homes without power.   The GardenPlay Project is also on the road to recovery thanks to a generous grant from KOOL-AID & KaBOOM!

We are honored to announce that KOOL-AID & KaBOOM has awarded the GardenPlay Project a grant of $7,500 towards the play equipment in our project.   Without this generous support, our project might would have experienced prolonged delays as our community has had to shift resources to rebuilding homes and businesses.  This grant will ensure that the importance of Play in the lives of children during this stressful time is addressed. The GardenPlay project wants to publicly thank KOOL-AID & KaBOOM for their generosity.

We also want to invite everyone to our Design Day Ice Cream & Fruit Social in Kemah, Texas.  See our website for details.

DESIGN Day is Oct 19, 2008
