Spring into a New Playground With These Fundraising Ideas!
Plant the Seeds of Play and Watch them Grow!!

  1. Running of the Ducks.  Sell rubber ducks ($15-25 each) and mark each with a number.  Release them on a local river, and the first one across the finish line wins!  Get local businesses involved, and encourage a competitive spirit –you’ll see donations multiply.

  2. Sell flower-planting and flower-watering services.  This is a great activity to involved kids and their parents.  It can be a one-time event, or you can auction off once-a-week services that last the entire length of spring.

  3. Community Dog Wash.  Help the dogs in your town wash off those winter coats and get ready for spring!  This is another fun activity for families or youth groups.  Hint: Ask a local pet store to donate shampoo and combs, and be sure to advertise in veterinary offices!

  4. Softball Tournaments and Fun Runs.  Everyone is eager to get outside and enjoy the sunshine…so give them something fun to do!

  5. Memorial Day Barbeque.  Cooking outdoors is a great excuse for a fundraiser!  Everyone loves to have get-togethers for grilling on this favorite holiday.  And if you can't get your whole neighborhood together, ask all your neighbors who are having smaller celebrations to collect 50 cents for every can or bottle of soda (or anything else!) to the playground fund.  You'll be surprised how much that will amount to!
