Hundreds of hands took part in an enormous effort Thursday for some Jackson school children.

In just six hours, hundreds of volunteers built a playground at Pecan Park Elementary. A non-profit group called KaBOOM! teamed up with Home Depot and the school to erect a playground which features slides, swings, monkey bars, a rock climbing wall, and more.

The volunteers also built a performance stage, benches, and an outdoor classroom.
