Schools Earn B and C Grades in Physical Education PTO And PTA Leaders Grade Schools and Identify Needs for Improvement in National Survey
GREENWICH, Conn., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- When asked to grade their schools' physical education programs and efforts to keep kids healthy and active, 72 percent of school PTO and PTA leaders graded their schools with a "B" or "C." With the growing obesity epidemic and many schools eliminating or reducing physical education and recess due to budget cuts, more than 50 percent of respondents indicate sporting equipment, playgrounds and field trips are most needed in their schools, according to the recent online survey distributed by PTO Today in conjunction with Nestle Waters North America. |
