Every child deserves a safe and fun place to play, regardless of where they live or what their lives are like. But for the 90 students with a variety of disabilities who attend Rock Creek School in Maryland, the playground is more of a disappointment than a delight. Not only was the outside playspace built in the early 1970's (which means decades of rust and disrepair), but it was not designed with the abilities of all of its visitors in mind. Parents are worried that more pressing maintenance issues in their district will delay much-needed improvements to the playground once again.
