More About Me
As a Peace Corps volunteer in Cost Rica from 1990-92, I saw how the simple addition of a safe and fun play space in any community, can take a child out of their seemingly bleak circumstances and give them joy, fun and promise for better things. As a parent of two children in a elementary school where the playground is more than 20 years old, I am hoping to bring that type of joy to these schoolchildren, and the members of the surrounding community who use the playground after school hours and on weekends. For 2 years now, our school has talked about a new playground project and I am willing to start putting it into action. I heard about KaBOOM!'s program through a simple on-line search. Let the PLAY begin! Yeah! We're a Grable Foundation Grantee!
