More About Me
Hi Everybody, For the past 19 years I’ve been lucky enough to be an elementary physical education teacher. I can not imagine working behind a desk all day. Growing up in south Louisiana with three older brothers, I had no choice but to PLAY! Now in my mid 40’s, I realize the value of the free play I had as a child . I try hard to work free play time in with my own two children. See, that is the problem; we must work hard to set “Free Play” time into our lives, and especially the lives of our youth. At this moment, I’m in the process of raising funds for Chahta-Ima Elementary’s Playground Project. The equipment on our playground is old and was damaged by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. I understand the value of unrestricted play and have been spreading the word in the school’s community. It seems to be working!
