More About Me
Why play is important to me can best be described by a quote from Kay Redfield Jamison: "Play is not a luxury, it's a necessity". Experiential play is essential for proper development in childhood, and is essential for adults in seeking a well-rounded life. I support the cause of plya in my community by creating youth fitness programs for Fairfax County Park Authority in Virginia. I support play globally by helping to train and certify Youth Fitness Specialists worldwide through the International Youth Conditioning Association. My favorite playground memory from childhood is jumping off the top of the slide and landing on the ground (not receommended)
