More About Me
Once a playground builder, always a playground builder! After the incredible Cunard Memorial Playground experience I've been helping other folks build playgrounds, but haven't tackled another one myself. All of that is about to change. I am putting together plans to make sure that the 18 or so elementary schools in Atlanta that do not have playgrounds get them! I want to do that and build a skate park all by the start of school 2009. I saw an incredible skate venue built along the Thames in London and want to use a lot of what I saw there here in Atlanta. I think these projects would be wonderful ways to link together multiple communities to create new places for kids to play. The thought of elementary schools without playgrounds just doesn't make sense to me. I'm also currently building a wheel-chair accessible treehouse at Camp Twin Lakes outside of Atlanta. http://www.CampTwinLakes.org. Be careful if you get involved with building playgrounds!
