| I owe all of my experience to the KaBOOM conference I attended in New Orleans in February of 2007. I had the best time and met fun, energetic, people who really care about play.
I was the project lead for the first community build here in Yorkville, Illinois, on August 18, 2007. It was a HUGE success and you can see our park in the 2008 Gametime catalog on pages 4, 5, 6, 7, 14, 15, 32, 33, and 92! (Yes, we built that in just 1 day!) Did I mention how proud I was of our City and community members for completing that project?!?!
To top it all off we then received the 2007 Illinois Park and Recreation Association's Division II 'Outstanding Facility and Parks Award' this January. It was a great year and we hope to continue the tradition of community builds in the City.
