Some items to consider when constucting: We have ledge on our site and therefore are pouring concrete pads on which the equipment will be fixed. When going this route, not only do you need to estimate for the actual concrete, but also for all the concrete "work".  I was unaware of this need and it ended up adding $3,000 to our cost (the actual value is $8,000 but our contractor is donating the $5,000 difference). Concrete work is done by a company that smooths out the concrete, tamps it down, grades it for water run off, etc. This amount was unexpected and cost 3x the actual amount of concrete. Just to help others avoid this suprise.
