I have zero idea how I got on this list, but I received an email from a playground equipment vendor offering 30% on equipment for the holidays. Here is their pitch: Season's Greetings, Planet Safety is offering holiday discounts and incentive....

Recruiting volunteers for three days
Posted: 04 Sep 07 2:26 PM
Our playground build is at the end of the month. The installer is planning on a three-day build, with equipment prep on day 1, community build on day 2 and anything left over on day 3. How do you recruit volunteers for days 1 and 3; which won't be as fun as the Community Build?

We have also been told our build may take more than one day by the installer also. We are finding that it is hard to get people to contribute more than one day of their time especially with ours because it is Columbus Day weekend, a lot of people will be on vacation and such. Hopefully you will have great success no matter how many days it takes. Just keep plugging away on getting volunteers and set them up for one of the three days instead of requesting that they participate all three days.
