Hi Everyone! My name is Maura Contreras and I'm excited to be attending my first WE Play event in Chicago! I am the Secretary for the Montara Homeowners Association in Hanover Park, Illinois. We are looking to update our playground to a much safer and efficient playground for all of our children, friends and neighbors. I hope to hear all of your wonderful success stories and pick up some helpful tips along the way. I look forward to hearing from everyone!

I'm the KaBOOM! Manager of Training & Education so I'm working on putting together the Chicago WE Play! as I type! I know the KaBOOM! staff looks forward to meeting you and our other participants on May 16. I hope that you're also able to attend the build on May 31. Hi there from Canton, GA. My name is Nancy Serrand. I am the Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Canton and proudly, the Chairperson of the Playful City USA Committee. I look forward to meeting all the existing and new playmakers to share ideas, skills and formulate new networking opportunities to spread the word!! It's all about rallying the community and the kids! But more importantly, it's all about FUN!

I wanted to let everyone know that if you're planning to attend a WE Play! and want to encourage other people to come, you can download and print flyers to post at your local gym, childcare center, university, grocery store, house of worship, etc. We have a different flyer for each city hosting a WE Play! Check it out!

In the last couple of years I have been just known as ......'s mom. My name is Lorraine from New London, CT. I am registered to attend the We Play 2008 in New York City. My first son is entering Kindergarten in a school without any playground equipment now, or in the foreseeable future. I am only in the first steps of trying to get the other parents and community together to change this. I hope that the seminar can give me the knowledge I need to get things done and even more importantly the determination to keep going through the more difficult times.
Lorraine-I can't meet you in NY because I'll be in Columbus, but I can certainly give you much needed advice and moral support. My name is Myrdin and I'm featured as the playmaker of the month for our school build here in Louisville, KY.
If anyone else is going to Columbus, I'll see you there!
