Ok, so I had a thought today that it would be fun to start a thread where people can share their playground stories.  I think this would be something entertaining to read and hopefully people will keep adding to it and it'll just keep growing.  I'm with KaBOOM! and unfortunat....

Bonne Ecole Elementary Playground
Posted: 02 Dec 07 8:19 PM
Our Build Day was yesterday and it was a huge success!  The KaBOOM organizational strategies really helped us to organize and involve the over 300 people who attended.  Our biggest source of volunteers was the local National Guard unit who helped us immensely.  They brought close to 100 hard working men and women along with lots of equipment.  I would encourage anyone who is planning a build to contact a local unit.  We installed a new playground, fixed broken pieces of equipment, and did lots of landscaping and painting.  This was divided into 16 build teams, each with a build captain.  Our build was a lot of work and took many months of fundraising and planning, but was definitely worth it.  Thank you to KaBOOM for their grant and purpose.  All of the students at Bonne Ecole Elementary are definitely thankful!

This is so good to hear superstar!
Good advice on using the "enlisted" for volunteers. If anyone would be interested in doing something for the community it'd be them, right?

I'd love to see any pictures you might have of the build day. Have you updated your project website?
