Ok, so I had a thought today that it would be fun to start a thread where people can share their playground stories.  I think this would be something entertaining to read and hopefully people will keep adding to it and it'll just keep growing.  I'm with KaBOOM! and unfortunat....

I would love some feedback / ideas / support / information from anyone who has held or participated or been-to a Truck Touch.  From my understanding this is like a "petting zoo with trucks".  The information in my Tool Box sounds quick & painless...AND PROFITABLE.  I would like to do this May 12...just a few weeks before school is out.  I only have a month and a half to plan it.  Does this sound realistic?  I'm too excited to just drop it until next school year.

We do not have a park near our new development...but we have an elementary school within walking distance that will soon be unlocking their gates to the community.  My dream is to turn that playground into a place where everyone in our community will run to - and PLAY hard!  The first fundraiser is the Truck Touch and that money will add handicap accessible swings and some younger play equipment.

Any advice?  Please help!

Has anyone seen anything like this work? Any advice for Jennifer? I've got to say that this is a new idea for me. I also just need to share that I have a really funny image in my mind of pickup trucks and SUVs in little barnyards mooing (or honking, I suppose), scratching themselves on the sides of buildings and bunching together at the fence to beg throngs of children for little treats made of motor oil or something.

To Jennifer -- all joking aside -- I'd come to this just to see what a truck petting zoo was. Please come back and let us know how it went!
