The gist is if you are an AMEX card holder, you can register for "The Members Project" (http://www.membersproject.com/). Once registered you can submit and vote on "projects" people put together. Projects are basically are your own personal cause, but smaller. It’s hard to explain, but think of it as trying to get money to clean up the rivers and lakes in your local community as opposed to fighting global warming. This seems right up our alley, right? AMEX will choose 50 finalists and then card members will get to vote on a winner, who will receive up to $5 million for their project.
If any KaBOOM! folks create or find a good playground entry, post about so we can all help out and vote for it. Five million dollars would build a pretty awesome playground.
