Early in the process the fundraising was going great but now seems to have hit a snag. Any large national corporations that can be suggested that help with playgrounds in other locations? Thanks.
I don't know of any specifically, but I was going to suggest that you think about some possibilities like, do you have any Native American Indian students at your school, and then, do any of their tribes have a steady source of income, i.e. in our state, the tribes have casino's and other businesses that provide income, and so they have money set aside to help with projects in the community that are to benefit children. If you have a high number of American-Pacific Islander students, sometimes there are community organizations through local churches or "clubs" that will also help with projects that benefit kids. I would also consider PUBLICIZING your plight, i.e. have newsletters to go out that talk about how early on, things were going well but that you are in the final stretch and things are slowing down...that now is the time for the community to really ramp up support in this last "leg of the race" so to speak. Because I've read in some of the KaBOOM materials that when people find out that you are in your "final two thousand" or whatever, that they tend to be a little more generous....if they KNOW about it.
