Kinds of things you can reuse
Posted: 31 Jan 08 5:23 PM Modified By cfeller on 1/31/2008 5:26:52 PM)

I find there are often many potentially useful items left after builds that could be useful to other communities or local organizations.  In the spirit of reusing rather than tossing our build items, here's a list of my often left-over items:

Building materials: Scrap lumber (those small scrap blocks), left-over lumber, bags of dry concrete

Shipping materials: Cardboard, plastic, wooden pallets

Volunteer build items: Costumes and party items, orange buckets, markers, crayons, and other kids' supplies, extra hand tools

Painting projects: Paint, brushes, rollers, trays, primer

Other: Orange safety fencing, green posts or rebar

Landscaping: extra sod, soil, mulch, stone or gravel, hand tools

Food items: water bottles (if not using reusable water bottles), food waste (composte, perhaps?)

What have you had left over on  your projects?
