WE Play! Trainings Coming to a City Near You

Kids Need Playgrounds! Learn how to make it happen at WE Play! Learn how to fundraise, build and advocate for great places to play in your community! Thanks to the generous support of our partners Kool-Aid and The Home Depot and led by KaBOOM! presenters, KaBOOM! Workshops Entirely on Play are one-day, FREE regional trainings packed with interactive sessions, networking opportunities and first-hand success stories. From planning a playground project to involving your local government in the cause of play, WE Play! sessions give all participants the tools to take action.

Pre-WE Play! homework
Before you attend WE Play!, KaBOOM! has a small (but fun) assignment for you! Join our community and help KaBOOM! understand the state of play in your neighborhood by adding a local playground, skate park, or athletic field to the KaBOOM! Playspace Finder.

1. Join the KaBOOM! online community and create a profile to get full access to all the features of kaboom.org, including the KaBOOM! Playspace Finder, the Project Planner, the Forums, and much more.
2. Add a playspace near you into the KaBOOM! Playspace Finder.

By having your community's playspaces in the KaBOOM! Playspace Finder in advance of the event, the WE Play! presenters can better tailor their presentations to your community. (Wouldn't it be fun to see your playspace up on the screen?) Even better, after the event you can use the KaBOOM! Playspace Finder to advocate for more and better playspaces in your community.

For extra credit, rate other playspaces in your area, or introduce yourself to other WE Play! attendees in our Forums!

Parents, PTA leaders, teachers, community leaders, business professionals, parks and recreation departments, school districts, and individuals who want to make play a priority for their community.

Special build day opportunity
The fun doesn't stop there! On the following day at most of the WE Play! workshops, all WE Play! participants have an opportunity to take part in a KaBOOM! Build Day. During this event, you'll witness how 150 volunteers can transform an empty lot into a dream playground in six hours! Learn these important Build Day execution strategies firsthand:

• Site layout and logistics
• Volunteer management and youth engagement
• Flow of the day
• Equipment installer relations
• Celebration and appreciation
