We had a beautiful day for our build, even though it had rained nearly every day that week. We were all up to our ankles in mud, but none of us seemed to mind.

Our volunteers were fantastic; our last count was 130! Normally, it seems that the women are the only ones to help the school; however, we were amazed at the number of men who showed up at 7 am on a weekend morning for a chance to use their hands (and their tools!) Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor would have been proud of these guys.

Everyone pitched in - from building slides, serving and supplying the meals to feed this enormous bunch, to spreading mulch. Our "main framers" were particularly impressive; they had the first platform up more than half an hour ahead of schedule.

Everyone should be extremely proud of their effort on this project, from design day to build day. I know I am.

I'd like to thank you, Sandyha and everyone at KaBoom for helping our dream come true. What seemed insurmountable only a year ago is now a reality. Our children love the new playground and can't wait for recess!
